About
13 Guys Named Ed
Jeff Juszczak and Jason Katzwinkel first heard the phrase “thirteen guys named Ed” in a Denny’s in 1992, and have been using it as their own ever since. Originally a book club in 1997 (for which we only read one book), 13 Guys Named Ed went on to become “some kind of Internet radio show type thing” in 2000. In 2009, Jeff and Jason decided to resurrect 13 Guys Named Ed as a social and digital media empire. Well… not empire, really. But… you know. Thing.
In its current incarnation, 13 Guys Named Ed maintains a presence on iTunes and Zune in the form of a weekly podcast; on Facebook and Twitter as a collection of Internet curiosities; and on this site where one can find the podcasts as well as penned witticisms and criticisms on all manner of geekery. Each outlet is unique in its own way, worthy of examination on its own.
Jeff Juszczak
Jeff Juszczak has been an information technology professional for the past 15 years and is currently the Manager of Information Technology at a nationwide corporate restructuring and financial services firm. He is an amateur photographer, avid reader, matriculating student at the University of Tampa, and chronic procrastinator.
Because Jeff’s professional knowledge is a mile wide, but only an inch deep, he is an expert in nothing with a propensity to have an opinion on everything… perfect for podcasting. He hopes to one day learn how to properly trim a goatee.
Originally from the Chicago area, he now lives in Clearwater, Florida with his wife Dena, daughter Evaline, and their golden retriever, Cisco.
Jason Katzwinkel
An avid enthusiast, Jason Katzwinkel aspires to be all things, which has resulted in a series of (let’s call them) “short-term careers” where he has collected a vast array of esoteric knowledge. In his free time, he enjoys the leisure qualities of reading, creative writing, drawing, graphic design, web design, coding, 3D rendering, gaming, Interneting, and the merciless annihilation of unsuspecting Scrabble players, forevermore demolishing spirit, enthusiasm and comity with decisive cerebral ninjutsu.
Raised by hippies and instilled with equal parts patience and short attention span, Jason is often entrenched in any number of harebrained projects, some of which he actually finishes. When he is eventually diagnosed with Schizoid Personality Disorder, nobody will be particularly surprised.
A pugnacious, balding, overweight man with no money who codes PhP for fun, he will remain alone in Chicago for the rest of his days.

I just discovered your podcast, and have to say that I am a huge fan. You two are very entertaining. I was curious though, are you still putting out new podcasts?
Thanks, Jeff. That means a lot. We are putting out new podcasts… we simply took a short break to sort out various aspects of our lives.
As a matter of fact, I have a new podcast in the hopper right now. Coming soon!
